Special Cruises through the Chickamauga Locks

Blue Moon Cruises offers a special opportunity to cruise up or down river between our summer docking home at Chattanooga Pier and our winter home at Sale Creek Marina. On Sunday, December 20th, 2009 we will move the boat to Sale Creek Marina for our winter cruises into the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge. On Saturday, February 28th the boat moves back to Chattanooga to begin the spring, summer and fall cruises into the Tennessee River Gorge.Six miles above Chattanooga we go through the lock at Chickamauga Dam where we ascend or descend 42 feet between Nickajack Lake and Chickamauga Lake.You are invited to join us for these special days on the river.

Upriver Lock Thru Cruise - Downtown Chattanooga to Sale Creek Marina

• $29 per person + tax
• Boards at the Chattanooga Pier at 9:30 AM; departs at 10:00 AM.
• Parking is free along the street in Downtown. There is also a $5 Republic parking lot across from the Pier.
• Trip lasts about 5 hours; travel time to the Chickamauga Lock is about one hour. We may have to wait to enter the Lock depending on river traffic.
• A BBQ buffet lunch with all the fixin's is included in the price. Coffee, tea and water will be available.
• A full cash bar will also be open on the Upper Deck.
• We should arrive at Sale Creek Marina about 2:30-3 PM. A 30 minute bus ride will take you back to Chattanooga.
  
  Price on Dec and Feb Lock-thru Cruises includes the bus transportation and lunch. We hope you'll join us for a fun day on the river.

Downriver Lock Thru Cruise - Sale Creek Marina to Chattanooga Pier

• Naturalist guided tour departs from Sale Creek Marina in Soddy Daisy and ends in downtown Chattanooga
• $39 per person + tax
• Boards at the Sale Creek Marina at 10:30 AM; departs at 11:00 AM.
• Parking is free at the marina.
• Trip lasts 4 - 4 1/2 hours. We may have to wait to enter the Lock depending on river traffic.
• A BBQ buffet lunch with all the fixin's is included in the price. Coffee, tea and water will be available.
• A full cash bar will also be open on the Upper Deck.
• We should arrive in Chattanooga about 3 PM. A 30 minute bus ride will take you back to your vehicle at Sale Creek Marina.
